Abigail was born in 1600 in Dover, County Kent, England. Abigail married Henry Damon, son of Henry Damon, on 6 March 1619/20 in Faversham, County Kent, England.2 Abigail's husband, Henry, died before 3 August 1625 in Reading, Berkshire, England, leaving her a widow. Abigail married 2nd John Eaton on 5 April 1630 in Dover, County Kent, England.3 In mid May 1635, Abigail left London aboard the ship, "Elizabeth & Ann", under the command of Captain Robert Cooper, bounded for New England. Listed among the passengers were Abigail Eaton aged 35 years, Jane Damand aged 9 years, Mary Eaton aged 4 years, Thomas Eaton aged 1 year & others. John Eaton & Abigail's son John Damant either arrived late to the ship or preceeded the rest of the family on a different ship..4,5,6

Her husband John Eaton and her son John Dammant came aboard after the vessel left port, or preceeded them in another vessel. They settled in Dedham.
