Julia Ann Slosson

F, b. 27 June 1806, d. 1 August 1866
     Julia Ann was born on Friday, 27 June 1806 in Berkshire, Tioga County, New York. She was the daughter of Enos & Rebecca [Culver] Slosson. Julia Ann married John Catlin Stedman, son of John D. Stedman II and Sylvia Catlin, circa 1828 in Tioga County, New York. In 1844, John came to Michigan with his wife Julia and five children from New York to settle on section 14 in Unidalla, Livingston County. In 1846, he returned to New York for his parents. He was a supervisor in Unidalla in 1852 & 1853. His nephew, W. S. Livermore came from Richfield, Tioga County with the family in 1844. 9 August 1850, Julia and her husband, John, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Unadilla Township, Livingston County, Michigan. Enumerated in this household were John C. Stedman [44 New York], his wife: Julia [44 New York], children: Susan [21 New York], Maria [18 New York], Enos [16 New York], Ulysses [14 New York], & John [12 New York].1 6 June 1860, Julia and her husband John were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Unadilla Township, Livingston County, Michigan. Enumerated in this household were J. C. Stedman [56 New York], Julie Ann [52 New York], Enos I. [26 New York student at law], Arlysis [24 New York], John C. [22 New York] & John Steadman [85 Connecticut].2 Julia departed this life on Wednesday, 1 August 1866 in Unadilla Township, Livingston County, Michigan.
