Frederick Sherbahn

M, b. 1779, d. 20 April 1868
     Frederick was born in 1779. He was the son of Conrad and Dorthea Sherbahn. Frederick married Margaretha Eckert, daughter of Johan Jacob Eckert and Margaretha Helger, circa 1803 in York Township, York County, Pennsylvania. Frederick and Margaret had children: Nancy Ann [4/03/1804], Michael [10/30/1805][ m. Elizabeth], Frderick [7/29 1807-1875], Charles [2/23/1809][m. Sarah Catherine Kinzeg], Karl [2/23/1809], Leah [8/24/1811], Zacharias [1/30/1813-11/05/1853],Benjamin [2/09/1817-1/29/1871][m. Mary], Henry [1819-1856][m. Ann]. Frederick began making bricks at a early age maybe as early as before the turn of the century. In 1820, he started a brickyard which was continued after his death by his son Benjamin. 6 September 1850, Frederick and his wife, Margaretha, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Maytown Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
