Sophie was born on Friday, 15 September 1809 in Maskinonge, Quebec, Canada. She was christened on the same day there in St-Joseph Church.1 Sophie married Alexis Lesieur on 23 April 1827 in Louiseville at St-Antoine-de-la-Riviiere-du-Loup Church.2 Alexis and Sophie had children: Thomas [3/11/1828], Sophie [4/09/1829][m. 1/10/1848 Pierre Emile Lemire], Felicite [4/10/1831], Marie Aurise [5/28/1833], Henri [2/21/1835-2/26/1835], Mathilde [5/09/1836], Leocadie [5/30/1839] & Marie Philomene [1/29/1842].3 Sophie departed this life on Thursday, 28 March 1844 in Louiseville at age 34 years, 6 months and 13 days. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Antoine-de-la-Riviiere-du-Loup on Saturday, 30 March 1844.4
