     Louis was born on Monday, 27 October 1698 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon, Levis County, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 28 October 1698 in St-Joseph Church.1 Louis married Catherine Bourassa on 28 November 1731 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at St-Joseph Church.2 Louis & Catherine had children: Jean Ambroise [1/31/1733-7/15/1733], Pierre [8/3/1737--12/16/1749], Marie Louise [2/06/1741-9/29/1754], Joseph Pierre [3/17/1743-8/04/1743] & Marie-Josephe [7/09/1747-9/04/1822][m. 10/15/1764 Laurent Leclerc].3 Louis's wife, Catherine, died on 18 December 1749 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon leaving him a widower. Louis departed this life on Sunday, 13 June 1751 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at age 52 years, 7 months and 17 days. He was buried there in the cemetery of St-Joseph on Monday, 14 June 1751.4
