     Joseph was born on Wednesday, 8 May 1697 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon, Levis County, Quebec, Canada. He was christened on the same day there in St-Joseph Church.1 Joseph married Catherine Guay on 12 October 1722 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at St-Joseph Church.2 Joseph & Catherine had children: Marie Catherine [3/01/1723-12/29/1763][m. 2/01/1752 Charles Guay], Jean Louis [4/21/1724], Marie Genevieve [5/13/1725-9/08/1762][m. 11/23/1751 Etienne Begin], Martin [9/16/1726-9/21/1760], Francois [8/26/1728-9/04/1758], Joseph Andre [4/11/17308/23/1798][m. 1/27/1755 Marie-Marthe Adam], Veronique [3/21/1732-4/10/1777][m. 3/01/1756 Charles Guay], Marie Anne [7/01/1733], Charlotte [4/24/1735-4/29/1767], Jacques [4/30/1737-5/03/1737], Jacques [10/10/1738-10/07/1758], Suzanne [9/13/1741-9/15/1741] & Louise [9/13/1741-9/15/1741].3 Joseph's wife, Catherine, died on 13 September 1741 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon leaving him a widower. Joseph departed this life on Monday, 17 April 1747 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at age 49 years, 11 months and 9 days. He was buried there in the cemetery of St-Joseph on Tuesday, 18 April 1747.4
