     George was born on Wednesday, 2 March 1577 probably in Fulham Palace, London, County Middlesex, England, at about 4:00 a.m. His Godparents were George, Earl of Cumberland, Nathan, Lorde of At__ & Lady ___.4 He spent much of his life traveling & writing books. In 1621, he became Treasurer of the Virginia Company; he also accompanied his niece's husband, Thomas Wyatt, the Governor of the Colony to Virginia in the same year. He never married. George departed this life on Friday, 4 March 1644 in Bexley, Maidstone, County Kent, England. He was buried at Bexley Abbey, Maidstone, County Kent, England.
