Catherine Samson

Catherine was born on Monday, 29 June 1722 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon, Levis County, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Etienne Samson & Marie Angelique Guay. She was christened on the same day there in St-Joseph Church.¹ Catherine married Michel Guay, son of Louis Guyet and Marie-Susanne Samson, on 17 February 1744 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at St-Joseph Church.² Catherine's husband, Michel, died before 6 November 1793 in Lauzon leaving her a widow. Catherine departed this life on Thursday, 12 March 1795 in Pointe-de-Levy, Lauzon at age 72 years, 8 months and 12 days. She was buried there in the cemetery of St-Joseph on Friday, 13 March 1795.³
