Claude Salois

M, b. 1641, d. circa 2 June 1709
     Claude was born in 1641 in Dieppe, Seine-Maritime, Normandy, France. He was christened there in St-Remy Church.1 Claude married Marie-Anne Mabille in 1666 in Quebec, Canada. October 1681, Claude and Marie-Anne were listed on the Canadian Census in Ste-Familie, Ile d'Orleans, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Claude Salloy [40 years], Anne Mabiler [41 years], Anne [14 years], Claude [13 years], Pierre [10 years], Jean [8 years], Marguerite [6 years], Marie [5 years], Genevieve [3 years], Marguerite [3 years] & Nicole [4 months].2 Claude's wife, Marie-Anne, died circa 31 July 1702 in St-Laurent, Ile d'Orleans, Quebec, Canada, leaving him a widower. Claude departed this life in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Sunday, 2 June 1709.3
