Francois Rondeau

     Francois was born on Sunday, 28 October 1708 in St-Nicolas, Levis County, Quebec, Canada. He was the son Francois Rondeau and Marie Anne Feintecoq dit Decau. He was christened on the same day there in St-Nicolas Church.¹ Francois married Marie-Francoise Dubois, daughter of Pierre Dubois and Marie-Anne Maillou, on 29 January 1736 in St-Antoine-de-Tilly, Lotbiniere County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Antoine-de-Tilly Church.² Francois & Marie-Francoise had children: Marie Elisabeth [11/10/1736-4/18/1771][m. 11/07/1757 Charles Dubois dit LaFrance], Marie Francoise [11/30/1738-2/05/1780][m. 2/13/1764 Jacques Bergeron], Francois Joseph [11/09/1740-4/10/1743], Charles Francois Marie [3/04/1743-12/29/1749], Pierre [8/20/1745-12/29/1749], Marie Louise 8/03/1747-8/14/1773][m. 6/11/1767 Louis Etienne Rageot dit Beaurivage], Marie Josephe [11/22/1749-4/18/1825][m. 3/02/1772 Andre-Joseph Daigle dit Lallemand], Jean-Baptiste [9/27/1752-4/08/1790][m. 2/20/1776 Marie Genevieve Fontaine dit Marion], Marie Genevieve [3/02/1755-5/14/1788][m. 2/03/1783 Prisque Croteau], Marie Marguerite [4/15/1757-7/27/1783][m. 2/23/1778 Jacques Jacob Hamel] & Therese [1/28/1760-3/24/1765].³ Francois's wife, Marie-Francoise, died on 13 June 1782 in St-Antoine-de-Tilly leaving him a widower. Francois departed this life on Monday, 28 October 1782 in St-Antoine-de-Tilly at age 74 years. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Antione-de-Tilly on Tuesday, 29 October 1782.⁴
