Dinah Riley

Dinah was born on Tuesday, 3 December 1765 in New York. Dinah married Selah Mapes, son of Samuel Mapes and Mary Smith, on 20 April 1787 in New York.1 Selah & Dinah had children: Priscilla [11/23/1788], Mary [7/19/1790], Keziah [8/11/1794], Sarah [10/28/1796], Fanny [9/22/1798], Samuel [8/26/1800], James Robins [6/08/1803] & Selah Riley [6/11/1805]. The 1790 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at the Town of Wallkill, Orange County, New York, the family of Selah Mapes [11:3].2 The 1810 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at the Town of Wallkill the family of Selah Mapes [30101:02210].3 The 1820 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at the Town of Wallkill the family of Selah Mapes [102301:00011].4 The 1830 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at the Town of Wallkill the family of Selah [00011001:1010101].5 Dinah departed this life on Saturday, 11 July 1835 in the town of Mount Hope, Orange County, New York, at age 69 years, 7 months and 8 days. She was buried there in the old Congregational Church Cemetery.6
