Claude Rivard dit Loranger

     Claude was born circa 1666 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Robert Rivard & Madeleine Guillet. Claude married Catherine Roy, daughter of Michel Roy dit Chatellerault and Francoise Aube, on 14 February 1696 in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade, Champlain County, Quebec, Canada, at Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade Church.1 Claude & Catherine had children: Francois [6/05/1697-7/26/1783][m. 2/08/1723 Marie Louise Hamelin], Nicolas [12/01/1698-7/23/1760][m. 1/24/1735 Marie Antoinette Dubord dit Lafontaine], Marie-Anne [8/19/1700-10/16/1785][m. 4/16/1719 Antoine Lesieur dit LaPierre], Claude [7/10/1703-10/09/1708], Marie-Josephe [6/12/1707-10/09/1708], Joseph [11/20/1708-2/08/1768][m. 4/26/1740 Marie Genevieve Cote], Marie-Catherine [6/19/1715-6/21/1805][m. 5/25/1739 Joseph Juneau dit la Tulippe] & Marie-Josephe [4/20/1721-4/04/1757][m. 1/27/1742 Augustin Lafond].2 Claude departed this life in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Genevieve on Wednesday, 15 February 1736.3
