Isaac was born circa 1740 in Frederick County, Maryland, at the family home "Ridgely's Chance". Isaac married Elisabeth (?) in Maryland. Isaac made his will on 5 May 1791.
In The Name of God Amen I Isaac Ridgely of Washington County in the State of Maryland being of sound mind and in good health and being Satisfied of the uncertainty of life do make this my last Will and Testament in manner to wit:
I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Elisabeth Ridgely all that Part or Parcel of Land & Premises lying and being in Frederick County in the State aforesaid it being part of a Tract of Land called the Resurvey on Ridgleys Rest and supposed to contain fifty five and one half Acre of Land more or less also all my Personal Property of every description both of which that is to say real and Personal for her natural life but my mind and will is that at her Death the Land before mentioned shall go to & be the right and Estate of Samuel Ridgley the son of Richard to him and his heirs forever, I also leave at the Death of my said Wife Elisabeth a Negro Girl names Poll to my Brother Richard Ridgley his heirs and Assigns forever and as to the residue of my Personal Property that may be remaining it is my Will and Pleasure that my Wife Elisabeth dispose thereof as she may think convenient or Proper.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my beloved Wife Elisabeth and my Brother Richard Ridgley to by my Executors of this my last will and Testament
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Affixed my Seal this fifth Day of May Seventeen hundred and Ninety one

Samuel Tomplin Harmon Coblentz James Hissong.
Isaac departed this life in the family home, "Resurvey", Frederick County, Maryland. His will was probated on 21 December 1796.
