James Richards

James was born circa 1544 in Somersetshire, England. He was the son of Thomas Richards. James married Alice Blake, daughter of John Blake "the Elder" and Joan (?), on 2 October 1569 in the parish of Over Stowey.¹ James's wife, Alice, died before 17 August 1585 in Pitminster Parish, Somersetshire, England, leaving him a widower. James departed this life in Pitminster Parish. He was buried there in St. Andrew & St. Mary Churchyard on Saturday, 19 January 1607/8.¹ His will was probated in 1607/8 at Tauton, Somersetshire, England. No copy of his will exists.¹
