Willet Ranney

     Willet was born on Tuesday, 30 March 1694 in Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut. He was the son of Thomas Ranney and Reveca Willett. Willet married Anne Johnson, daughter of John Johnson and Mehitable Grannis, on 20 April 1720 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. Willett and Anne had children: Thankful [8/22/1722-4/06/1768], Ann [10/09/1723] [m. 8/08/1746 John Savage], Rebecca [10/03/1726] [m. 4/14/1743 Ebenezer Savage] & Willett [3/28/1731-1818] [m. 10/31/1752 Mary Butler]. He married second on12.23.1731 Deborah White. Willet's wife, Anne, died on 29 March 1731 in New Haven leaving him a widower. Willet departed this life on Thursday, 5 September 1771 in New Haven at age 77 years, 5 months and 6 days.
