Asahel Pritchard

     Asahel was born on Saturday, 28 May 1763 in Connecticut. He was the son of Jonathan Pritchard. Asahel married Mary Stedman, daughter of John Stedman I and Mary Frances Hotchkiss, on 22 August 1790 in Connecticut. He fought in the Wyoming Valley Massacre of 1778. Asahel & Polly had children: Salmon [1801-1886] [m. Maryette Southwick], Calvin [1803-12/03/1880], Trial S. [1806-1/12/1866], Lyman [1808-7/11/1873], Mary [1811-8/24/1886] [m. George W. Southwick]. Asahel departed this life on Saturday, 25 September 1841 in Flemingville, Tioga County, New York, at age 78 years, 3 months and 28 days. He was buried there in the Flemingville Cemetery.¹
