Benjamin Randall

     Benjamin was born on Sunday, 2 June 1715 in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut. He was a twin to Joseph [the first]. Benjamin married Ruth Brown in 1733 in Stonington. Benjamin and Ruth had children: Ruth [1733-6/13/1813] [m. 12/29/1748 Thomas Gates], Elias [1734-3/20/1799] [4/11/1756 Mary Meacham], Sylvester [1735-8/07/1808] [m. 11/16/1757 Martha Wightman], Rufus [6/25/1738-1822][1/02/1757 Margaret Wightman & 2nd. 12/03/1813 Anna Randall], Mary [1740-1800] [m. 2/28/1760 John Aylesworth Tennant], Benjamin 7/20/1742-9/09/1828] [m. 1/__/1762 Amy Avery & 2nd. 1/10/1792 Eunice Smith], Amos [11/16/1744-2/14/1802] [m.3/27/1776 Sareah Kilborn], Sarah [10/26/1748-9/26/1840] [m. 6/21/1764 William Gardner], Asa [1751-2/13/1834] [m. Mary Tennant] & Joseph [8/06/1758-3/30/1816] [m. Mercy Spicer]. The family moved to Colchester in New London County by 1757 where Benjamin was admitted a freeman on Dec. 6, 1763. Benjamin's wife, Ruth, died on 20 May 1791 in Colchester leaving him a widower. Benjamin departed this life on Saturday, 15 June 1811 in Colchester at age 96 years and 13 days.
