William Ramsdell

     William was born on Friday, 30 May 1851 in White Oaks Township, Ingham County, Michigan. He was the son of Alfred Ramsdell. William married Zella Ett Howell, daughter of John Howell and Mariett Decker, on 17 March 1880 in Stockbridge Township.¹ William & Zella had children: Ora Lynn [2/17/1884-11/11/1964] & Mary Leslie [2/22/1886-2/02/1865] [m. Frank Almon Farrington]. 26 June 1900, William and his wife, Zella, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Stockbridge Township. Enumerated in this household were William Ramsdell [49 Michigan - May 1851], his wife: Zelley [49 Michigan - June 1850], children: Orlyma [16 Michigan - February 1884] & Mary L. [14 Michigan - February 1886]. They have been married 20 years with 2 children, both living.² 23 April 1910, William and his wife, Zella, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Stockbridge Township. Enumerated in this household were William Ramsdell [59 Michigan], Zellaett [59 Michigan], Lynn [26 Michigan] & Mary L. [24 Michigan]. They have been married 28 years and they own their farm free and clear.³ William died on Sunday, 11 March 1917 in Stockbridge Township at age 65 years, 9 months and 11 days of congestion of his Lungs. He was buried on 13 March 1917 at Unadilla Township, Livingston County, Michigan, in the Plainfield Village Cemetery.
