Anne Rabady

     Anne was born circa 1654 in France. On 9 June 1672, Anne left her home in France aboard the ship, "La Nativitie", under the command of Captain Jean Basset, as one of 15 young ladies who were "Filles de Roi". These young ladies boarded the ship at Dieppe. They arrived at Quebec the 3rd of August..1,2 Anne married Antoine Lecuyer in 1672 in Quebec, Canada. 1681, Anne and her husband, Antoine, were listed on the Canadian Census in Batiscan, Les Chenaux, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Antoine Lecuier [33 years], Anne Rabardy [27 years], Marie Anne Lequier [8 years], Antoine [7 years], Madeleine [5 years] & Charlotte [3 years].3 Anne's husband, Antoine, died circa 30 April 1718 in Batiscan, leaving her a widow. Anne departed this life in Batiscan. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Francois Xavier on Monday, 4 September 1747.2,4
