Mary was born circa 1628 in England. Her maiden name may have been Clark or Bryer. Mary married Matthew Prior circa 1650 in England.¹ Mary's husband, Matthew, died before 28 August 1692 in his family home in Killingworth Upon Matinecocl, Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York, leaving her a widow. Mary departed this life on Sunday, 4 July 1700 in Killingworth Upon Matinecock, Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York.² Mary was probably laid to rest in the Prior section of the Underhill Burying Ground in Locust Valley, Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York.
