Harmon was born in Westminister, London, County Middlesex, England. He was christened there on 3 October 1613 in St. Martin's-in-the-Field.1 He immigrated to Boston by 1642 as he was admitted as a townsman of Boston on 16 December 1642. He was noted as a member of the Artillery Company in 1644 and was admitted a freeman in May of 1645. He was also noted as a leather seller and cordwainer. He was in the employment of Thomas Buttolph, a leather dresser and glover.2,3,4 Harmon married Ann Copp on 16 August 1646 in Boston in the Massachuetts Bay Colony.5 Harmon and Ann had children: John [chr. 10/05/1647-8/26/1714] [m. 10/29/1690 Mary Long] & Sarah [5/26/1650-1651].6,7 Harmon departed this life on Friday, 2 June 1651 in Boston in the Massachuetts Bay Colony. The inventory of Harmon's estate was taken on Friday, 13 October 1651 by James Johnson and Nathaniel Williams. The estate was valued at 34 pounds 3 shillings.8 His will was probated on 19 November 1651. His widow, Ann, was granted administration of the estate.
