     John was born circa 1562 in Little Baddow, County Essex, England. John married Sibyl Vessey, daughter of Thomas Vessey, on 12 September 1587 in Little Baddow at St. Mary the Virgin Church.2 John made his will on 30 May 1623 at Little Baddow, County Essex, England. He made his wife Sibyl his executrix.3 John departed this life in Little Baddow. His will was probated on 26 May 1625 at Little Baddow, County Essex, England.

    It seems certain that this John Porter was the resident at Little Baddow and later at Felsted, Essex, who married at Little Baddow on 12 Sept. 1587 Sibyl Vessey, daughter of Thomas Vessey of that place.
