     Theodorus was born circa 1646 in Island of Ithmarica, Brazil. Theodorus married Aertje Teunise Bogart, daughter of Teunis Gysbert Bogaert and Sarah Rapalje, on 14 October 1677 in Flatbush, Kings County, Long Island, New York, at the Reformed Dutch Church.2 Theodorus made his will on 14 February 1721 at Jamaica, Queens County, Long Island, New York.

In the name of God, Amen. I, Theodorus Polhemus, of Jamaica, in Queens County, being sick and weak. I leave to my son, Teunis Polhenus, my silver beaker and a whitewood chest, bound with iron. I leave to my sons, Johannes and Abraham, each a cup of 8 ounces and a half of plate, or the value thereof, in money, Also all my wheel wright and cooper's tools. Also to each of them 1/22 of the brew house standing near the dwelling house of John Lanbersen, in the limits of Jamaica, with the appertenances. I leave all the rest of my estate to my wife Hertie, to be at her disposal without contradiction. After my decease, my negroes, Rose and Eva, shall have their choice to dwell with any of my children. I make my brother, Daniel Polhemus, of Flatbush, and my brother-in-law, Gilbert Bogert, of Brookland, executors. It was dated February 14, 1720/1721. Theodorus departed this life before 22 May 1722 in Jamaica, Queens County, Long Island, New York. His will was probated on 22 May 1622.
