Regina Rachael Peterman

     Regina Rachael was born on Wednesday, 9 May 1770 in Windsor Township, York County, Pennsylvania, at the family home, Lovely Springs Plantation. Regina Rachael married Johann Michael Stromenger after 17 July 1784 in Windsor Township, York County, Pennsylvania. Johan Michael & Regina had children: Daniel, Johan Jacob [3/20/1790-9/12/1849][m. Rachel Hart], Cathrina [4/04/1796-5/28/1873][m. George Traver], Elizabeth, Anna Maria, Michael [5/05/1799-9/23/1873][m. Catherine Peterman], John [5/10/1807-11/10/1876][m. Rachael Kilmore], Rebecca [ 9/16/1808-9/16/1890][m. Henry Drorbaugh], Sarah [9/031809-6/15/1903][m.John Millard] & Henry [1812-3/17/1881][m. Margaret Stetler]. All of their chiildren were baptized in Canadohy Church in Lower Winsor, York County, Pennsylvania. Regina's husband, Johann, died in 1848 in Newberrytown, York County, Pennsylvania, leaving her a widow. Regina departed this life on Friday, 6 July 1849 in Lewisberry, York County, Pennsylvania, at age 79 years, 1 month and 27 days. She was buried there in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. The inscription on her tombstone reads: In Memory of Rachel Strominger - Born May 8th 1770 - Died July 6th 1849 - Aged 79 years 1 month & 28 days.²
