     Hans Velten was born circa 1725 in Morzheim, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. Velten married Anna Maria Zahneissin on 20 February 1748 in Morzheim at the Evangelische Church.1 In 1750, Valentine left from Rotterdam aboard the ship, "Osgood", under the command of Captain William Wilkie, for Cowes before leaving for Pennsylvania. Among the passengers was Michael Peterman & Valentine Peterman. they arrived at port in Philadelphia on the 29th of September..2
