     Geoffrey was born in 1295 in The Woods, Coulsdon, County Surrey, England. Geoffrey married Anisia (?) circa 1320. Geoffrey's estate at Hooley House was fined under the pretense of being purchased by an ancestor without permission of the king. However, he was in great favor with the King as he was given the title of Serjeant-at-Arms and accompanied King Edward III during the 1346 campaign in France. Geoffrey departed this life on Friday, 26 August 1346 in Crecy-On-Ponthie, Picariie, France, at age 51 years.
