     John was born possibly at County Surrey, England. Unfortunately, no substanciating evidence has been found. John married Rebecca (?).2 John and Rebecca had one child, Nathaniel [1645-1676]. He was killed in the King Philips War.3 John's wife, Rebecca, died on 24 September 1651 in Guilford, New Haven County, Connecticut, leaving him a widower. John married 2nd Anna (?). John's wife, Anna, died on 30 March 1658 in Guilford leaving him a widower. On board the first vessel that entered the harbor of new Haven was John Parmelin supposed to be a son of Johannes & father of "Jo. Parmeley". Joel, 10th son of Jo. Parmelie . . . [Note: To us, this does not appear to be the same John that was the son of John who came in 1639 & not the subject here listed. klm]
