Eudo was born in County Norfolk, England. He was the castlin of Castell Acre [Castle Acre].
Southacre is a small village on the River Nar opposite Castleacre. It is four miles north of Swaffham, which in turn is 15 miles east and south east of Lynn and 93 miles north and north east of London.In the mid 1800's, it encompassed about 2,312 acres belonging to A. Fountaine, Esq., the lord of the manor and patron of the Rectory. St George Church has a long nave, aisles, a chancel and a low tower with three bells and a chapel adjoining. In the chapel is a tomb with the effigy of a Knight Templer, supposed to represent Sir Eudo Harsyke who died in 1292. On the floor of the Chapel is a brass inlay with representations of a male and female of the Harsyke family. Others are entombed or buried on the premises as well.
