     Daniel was born circa 1642 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut. On the 24th of June 1662, Daniel & his brother, Samuel, were noted as not being of age in the settlement of their maternal grandparent's estate. His age was noted as 58 years on the Census of Phillipsbourgh, Courtland & Rikers Patent in 1710. Daniel lived in Middleburg, Long Island in 1670. In 1687, he was appointed to lay out common lands in Flushing. On the 20th day of the 10th month of 1692, Daniel witnesses the will of William Richardson & his name is signed as "Daniel Kirkpatrick".3 Daniel married the 6th day of the 2nd month 1693 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York.4,5 Daniel's wife, Dorcas, died before 25 April 1696 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York, leaving him a widower. Daniel married, daughter of Francis Yates and Dorothy Marsh, the 25th day of the 2nd month 1696 in his home in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York.6,7 He and Dinah were blessed with 4 children. The family resided in the Town of Flushing. They were members of the Society of Friends [Quaker]. 1698, Daniel and Dinah and his wife, [ROF:Flushing Town] were listed on the Flushing Town Census. Enumerated in this household were Daniel Patrick, Dinah his wife, James Feake, daughter: Sarah and one negro. He was an active member in the Society of Friends [Quaker] from 1701 or later.8


     
     
On 31 May 1704, Daniel was listed on a petition concerning the common lands in Flushing. This is the last record that he can be found on there. He soon removed to the town of Westchester with his half brother, James Feake. In May of 1705, he registered his ear mark as "Kirk patrick". On 8 October 1705, he & his half brother were deeded three parcels of land in the town of Westchester by the sons of William Richardsonn.9 Daniel departed this life before 30 May 1721 in Westchester, Westchester County, New York. On this day, his widow & half brother deeded over their rights to his properities to his son, Daniel.10
