     Sarah was born in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut. She was christened there on 18 December 1653 in First Church of Christ. Sarah married Matthew Woodruff on 24 November 1686 in Farmington at First Church of Christ. Matthew & Sarah had children: Nathaniel, [5/16/1687-11/13/1758] [7/06/1709 Thnakful Wright] & Joseph [5/19/1689-6/13/1736]. Sarah's husband, Matthew, died before 18 November 1690 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow. Sarah departed this life in January 1692 in Farmington. The inventory of Sarah's estate was taken on Saturday, 2 February 1692 at Farmington by Thomas Heart and Thomas Bull. They appraised the estate be valued at £105 2s. 11d. Also noted: Nathaniel would turn 5 in May and Joseph would turn 2 in May. Her estate was probated on 3 March 1691/92. John Woodruff and Joseph North were appointed administrators of the estate, and Thomas Heart and Thomas Bull were appointed to divide the estate between the two sons, Nathaniel and Joseph. Nathaniel's to be secured by Joseph North and Joseph's to be secured by John Woodruff.

Her estate was inventoried Feb. 2, 1691-2, in the same month as that of her father and in less than two months after that of her husband. Children: Nathaniel, b. 1687. Removed to Litchfield, where his descendants lived. 2 Joseph, bapt. May 19, 1689; heir to his uncle Joseph.
