Samuel was born in 1643 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts. He and Mary were twins. Samuel married Hannah Norton on 3 January 1666 in Massachusetts. Samuel & Hannah had children: John [1669-4/00/1745] [m. 3/16/1692 Mary Warner, 2nd. 4/25/1700 Mary Seymour & 3rd. 3/20/1734 Abigail], Samuel [1671-1707], Thomas [1673-4/05/1755] [m. 12/14/1699 Hannah Woodford] & Hannah [1677- 5/25/1752] [m. 3/29/1705 George Northaway]. He, his father and his brother, John, were 3 of the 84 original proprietors of Farmington who divided unoccupied lands in 1672. Samuel departed this life on Monday, 14 December 1682 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut.2

page 10-11 - Samuel North second son of John and Hannah [Bird] North, was born in 1643, probably in Ipswich, Mass., since his father did not sell land there until 1646. He died at Farmington, Dec. 14 1682, aged 39. He married Jan. 3, 1666, Hannah, daughter of John and Elizabeth Norton, born at Branford in 1649. . . After his death, his widow married in 1685, [2] John Rew.
Children: i. John, b. 1669; d. 1745. ii. Samuel, b. 1671; d. 1707. He was a merechant and d. in Boston, problably leaving no children . . . iii. Thomas, b. 1673; d. April 5, 1755. iv. Hannah, b. 1677; d. at Northington, now Avon, May 25, 1752; m.
