     John was born on Friday, 1 November 1641 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts. John married Susanna Francis on 15 April 1671 at Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut, by Captain Samuel Wells.2 He, his father and his brother, Samuel were 3 of the 84 original proprietors of Farmington who divided unoccupied lands in 1672. In May of 1682 he was in a list of Wethersfield inhabitants that petitioned to settle in what is now Windham, Connecticut.3 John & Susanna had children: John [8/16/1672-1/16/1733] [m. Elizabeth Smith], Mary [10/18/1674] [m. Thomas Marshall] & Susannah [4/15/1676-4/23/1764] [m. 1/18/1694 Sergt. Benjamin Judd]. John departed this life on Thursday, 6 August 1682 in Wethersfield at Newington Parish at age 40 years, 9 months and 5 days.

    page 9 - Dr John North oldest son of John and Hannah [Bird] North, was born, problably at Ipswich, Mass., iin November , 1641, his father having settled there, and sold land in 1646. He was married by Capt. Samuel Welles, April 15, 1671, to Susanna Francis, born Nov. 1, 1651, daughrer of Robert Francis of Wethersfield. They removed to that town, Newington parish, where he died Aug. 6, 1682, aged 41.
