     Samuel was born in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was christened there on 5 December 1660 in First Church of Christ. Samuel married Mary Hart on 20 December 1683 in Farmington at First Church of Christ.1 Samuel and Mary had children: Samuel Newell [2/19/1686-1750] [m. 8/08/1710 Sarah Norton], Thomas [3/01/1690] [m. 7/09/1713 Mary Lee], John [1/17/1692-2/21/1777] [m. 9/25/1719 Mary Hawley], Mary [12/23/1697-3/__/1729] [m. 12/17/16 John Steele], Daniel [4/18/1700-9/14/1731] [m. Ruth McLean], Nathaniel [2/20/1703] [m. 6/29/1727 Esther Hart] & Sarah [6/17/1707-1796] [m. 5/05/1731 Hezekiah Gridley].2 Samuel departed this life on Thursday, 15 February 1753 in Farmington, Hartford County, Connecticut.2
