     Francois was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 18 January 1671 in the Cathedral de l'Assomption.1 Francois married Marie Moison on 5 November 1696 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 Francois and Marie had children: Jeanne [2/04/1698-5/29/1751][m. 11/14/1718 Jacques Seguin], Francois [12/06/1699-12/07/1699], Marie Josephe [12/05/1700-12/07/1700], Marie Francoise [2/23/1702][m. 8/11/1744 Jacques Groulx],& Marie Anne [9/09/1703-1/14/1704], Joseph [2/04/1705-8/09/1723], Jean Baptiste [11/03/1706-12/05/1706] & Francois Marie [12/13/1707].3 Francois's wife, Marie, died on 29 September 1708 in Lachine, Montreal leaving him a widower. Francois departed this life on Tuesday, 9 December 1749 in Lachine, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of Sts-Anges Gardiens on Wednesday, 10 December 1749.4
