Ebenezer Mills

     Ebenezer was born on Friday, 3 August 1759 in Mills Pond, Queens County, Long Island, New York. Ebenezer married Abigail Vail, daughter of Isaiah Vail and Abigail Meeker, on 6 March 1787 in Goshen, Orange County, New York, at the First Presbyterian Church.1 Ebenezer & Abigail had children: Isaac [3/05/1788] [m. Sarah], Sarah [1791], Isaiah [1793], Henry Philips [11/02/1793-8/16/1854] [m. Amy Coleman], Sally [3/06/1796-1/08/1746], Phebe [1800-1/05/1869] & Samuel [1803]. He appeared on the 1799 tax assessment roles in Wallkikll. His real estate was valued at $695 and his personal estate valued at $167. He was taxed for $.56. The 1800 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at the Town of Wallkill, Orange County, New York, the family of Ebenezer Mills [22010:20010].2 The 1810 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at the Town of Wallkill, Orange County, New York, the family of Ebenezer Mills [11301:02010].3 Ebenezer's wife, Abigail, died on 25 October 1832 in the Town of Wallkill leaving him a widower. Ebenezer departed this life on Saturday, 21 February 1835 in the Town of Wallkill at age 75 years, 6 months and 18 days.
