On 19 December 1624, he was christened in Halifax, Halifax Parish, Yorkshire, England, at St. John the Baptist Church. He graduated from Harvard College in 1647 and was minister at Cambridge for 18 years from 1649 to 1667.1 Jonathan married Margaret Borodell on 19 November 1650. She was 1st married to Thomas Shepard. Jonathan departed this life on Monday, 9 July 1668 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1
