Lieutenant Jonathan Lockwood

     Jonathan was born on Sunday, 10 September 1634 in Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Robert Lockwood and Susannah Norman. Jonathan married Mary Ferris, daughter of Jeffrey Ferris and Mary, in 1664 in Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Jonathan was Mary's step brother. Jonathan and Mary had children: Jonathan [1664-11/09/1689], Robert [1663-5/07/1731] & Joseph [3/15/1666-6/15/1750] [m. 1698 Elizabeth Ayres & 2nd 1716 Margery Webb], Still John [1674-1758], Gershom [1676-5/01/1752] [m. 1700 Hannah Priss] & Abigail [1678-4/29/1744] [m. 1690 Thomas Baxter]. Jonathan departed this life on Wednesday, 12 May 1688 in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut, at age 53 years, 8 months and 2 days. He was buried there in Tomac Burying Ground.¹
