Janneken Joosten

F, b. before 16 November 1664
     Janneken was born in New York City, New York County, New York. On 16 November 1664, she was christened in New York City, New York County, New York, at the New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church. She was the daughter of Joost Carelszen and Styntie Jans. Janneken married John Pell on 4 June 1688. John and Jannetje had a son, Samuel [bp. 4/24/1689]. The witnesses were Joost Carelszen & Styntie Jans, his grandparents.1 Janneken married Isaac Vredenburgh, son of Willem Isaacsen Van Vredenburgh and Appolona Barrentszen Cool, on 7 March 1694 at the New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church in the City, County & State of New York. Janneken was the widow of John Pell.2 Janneken's husband, John, died before 24 March 1694 in New York, leaving her a widow. Janneken married 2nd Pieter van Velsen on 19 August 1710 at the New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church in the City, County & State of New York.3
