Phebe Ives

F, b. before 2 October 1642, d. 1682
     Phebe was born before 2 October 1642 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. She was christened there on 2 October 1642 in the First Congregational Church.1 She was the daughter of William Ives and Hannah Dickerman. Phebe married Joseph Potter in 1660 in New Haven.2 Joseph and Phebe had children: Joseph [1661- ], Rebecca [1663- ],Phebe [1665-1738] & Joseph [1667-1742].1 Phebe's husband, Joseph, died on 17 August 1669 in New Haven leaving her a widow. Phebe married 2nd John Rose in August 1670 in New Haven.1,2 John and Phebe had children: Deborah [1671- ], Sarah [1673- ], Hannah [1676- ], John [1679- ] & Daniel [1683- ], all born in Branford, Connecticut.1 Phebe's husband, John, died on 27 December 1672 in North Branford, New Haven County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow. Phebe departed this life in 1682 in Branford, New Haven County, Connecticut.1 She was buried there in the Congregational Church Burial Ground.3
