Thomas Jones1

     Thomas was born. Thomas married Abigail Rowland, daughter of Henry Rowland and Rebecca (?), on 5 March 1670/71 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.2 Thomas and Abigail had children: Abigail, John, Martha and Eliphalet. Thomas made his will on 16 February 1714/15 at Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

In his will he gives to his wife, Abigail, all of his lands and his dwelling house and all movables within his dwelling house. She is also to receive one third of all exterior movables as well. All legacies are for her natural life. To his daughter, Abigail Wells, she is to receive 10 shillings and no more unless she becomes a widow, then she is to receive a one third equal portion divided between her and her siblings, John and Martha. He appoints his wife, Abigail and his daughter Martha to be the joint executrixes of his will and if one should die, the other to become sole executrix. He names his good friend Deacon John Thompson of Fairfield as overseer. Witnesses: Joseph Webb and Nehemiah Webb.3

Thomas departed this life before 13 January 1723/24 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. The inventory of Thomas's estate was taken on Thursday, 13 January 1723/24 by Gideon Allen and Moses Simon.3 His will was probated on 20 July 1724.
