Blanche of Lancaster - was born on Thursday, 25 March 1345 in Bolingbroke, Lincolnshire, England, at Bolingbroke Castle. Henry of Grosmont, 1st Duke of Lancaster and Isabel de Beaumont.1 Blanche of Lancaster - married John of Gaunt - House of Plantagenet, son of Edward III - House of Plantagenet - , King of England and Phillipa - Queen of England, on 19 May 1359 in Reading, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, at Reading Abbey. The king gave Blanche expensive gifts of jewelry.1 John & Blanche had 7 children: Philippa [3/31/1360-7/19/1415][m. John I of Portuga], John [1362-d.y.], Elizabeth [2/21/1364-11/24/1426][m. John Hastings, 2nd John Holland & 3rd John Cornwall], Edward [1365-1365], John [5/04/1366-d.y.], Henry IV, King of England [4/03/1367-3/20/1413][m. Mary de Bohun & 2nd Johanna of Navarre] & Isabella [1368-d.y.].1 In 1361, she & her sister, Maud, were co-heiresses of their father's estate. Blanche departed this life on Monday, 12 September 1368 in Staffordshire, England, at Tutbury Castle. At her death, she was described as young & pretty.1 She was buried at London, County Middlesex, England, in St. Paul Cathedral.2
