Abigal Elizabeth Howell

     Abigal Elizabeth was born on Wednesday, 18 December 1833 in Hardyston, Sandyston Township, Sussex County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of John Howell and Mariett Decker. She was often referred to as Abby. Abigal Elizabeth married Daniel T. Dutcher on 16 February 1854 in Ingham County, Michigan.1 Daniel & Abitail had children: John D. [1862] & Margarette "Maggie" A. [1866]. 8 June 1860, Abigal and her husband Daniel were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in White Oaks Township, Ingham County, Michigan. Enumerated in this household were D. T. Dutcher [29 New York] & his wife: A. E. [26 New Jersey].2 9 July 1870, Abigal and her husband, Daniel, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in White Oaks Township. Enumerated in this household were D. T. Dutcher [37 New York], his wife: Abigail [36 New Jersey], children: John [8 Michigan] & Margarette [4 Michigan].3 1880, Abigal and her husband, Daniel, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in White Oaks Township. Enumerated in this household were Daniel T. Dutcher [47 New York], his wife: Abby E. [46 New Jersey], children: John D. [18 Michigan], & Maggie A. [14 Michigan].4 Abigal departed this life on Wednesday, 6 April 1910 in White Oaks Township at age 76 years, 3 months and 19 days. She was buried in Stockbridge, Ingham County, Michigan, in the North Stockbridge Cemetery.5
