Elizabeth Downs

Elizabeth married Daniel Wells in 1722 in the Town of Southold. Elizabeth departed this life on Tuesday, 20 October 1722 in Aquabogue in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, at age 20 years, 1 month and 2 days. She was buried at Cutchogue in the Town of Southold in the old burying ground. The inscription on her tombstone reads: HERE LYES YE BODY OF Mrs. ELIZ TH WELLS WIFE TO MR. DANIEL WELLS AGED 20 YEARS 1 MO. & 2 DS DEC D. OCT R ye 20 1722.¹
