Ruth Curtis1

     Ruth was born on Tuesday, 11 January 1683/84 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Benjamin Curtis and Ester Judson. Ruth married John Thompson on 15 November 1705 in Stratford. John and Ruth had children: Mary [9/07/1706-6/06/1758] [m. 1726 David Wells & 2nd. 1757 Gideon Tomlinson], John [4/01/1717-8/16/1753] [m. 7/07/1741 Mehitable Webb] & Ephraim 9/02/1719-6/16/1746. Ruth departed this life on Wednesday, 23 April 1721 in Stratford at age 37 years, 3 months and 12 days. She was buried there in the Old Congregational Church Burying Ground.2
