David was born in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Ebenezer Thompson and Comfort Pickett. He was christened there on 5 July 1724 in Durham. He was the son of James Curtis and Hannah Coe. David married Thankful Thompson on 22 January 1747. David and Thankful had children: Ebenezer [1749-2/24/1803] [m.Rhoda Bishop], David [5/19/1750-11/15/1815] [m. 1770 Prudence Bishop], Daniel [1753-6/10/1804] & Sarah [5/07/1755-12/16/1757]. David departed this life on Friday, 7 June 1782 in Granville. He was buried there in West Granville Cemetery. In Memory of Mr. David Curtiss Who died June 7th, 1782.2
