Elizabeth was born circa 1623 in England. Elizabeth married Edward Jessop, son of John Jessop and Joanna (?), circa 1658 in England. Elizabeth's husband, Edward, died in 1666 in West Farms, Westchester County, New York, leaving her a widow.1 On 20 June 1668, Robert accompanied Elizabeth, Jessop to sign a deed her deceased husband's estate, in the North Riding of Yorkshire on Long Island.2 Robert Beacham and Elizabeth Jessop obtained a license to marry on 4 November 1668.3 Elizabeth married 2nd Robert Beacham after 4 November 1668 in Westport, Westchester County, New York, at Green's Farm.4 She removed to Green's Farm with her two younger children. [Hannah and Edward]4 On the 26th of January 1668/69, Robert and Elizabeth acknowledge the sale to Thomas Hunt of the land and housing formerly owned by Edward Jessop, and which he and John Richardson purchased together.5 On 27 March 1682, Elizabeth sent her son, Edward, not yet of age, to visit his brother-in-law, Thomas Hunt. She gave him a letter and a legal power of attorney giving him full power to receive and dispose of his estate, this was possibly about two mares with two colts by their sides which his father had left him in his will. He had also been given instructions to dispose of his sister, Hannah's horses, as she had discussed with Joseph and Hannah. [the surname of Joseph is not known]6 On 25 December 1690, Elizabeth, in a deed of gift, transfers all of her possessions both real and personal to her son Edward. There is no mention of her daughter Hannah.7 Elizabeth's husband, Robert, died before 2 March 1690 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow. Elizabeth departed this life in 1692 in Westport, Westchester County, New York, at Green's Farm.
