Abigail Bishop

     Abigail was born on Wednesday, 30 October 1658 in Branford, New Haven County, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Deputy Govenor James & Mary [Lewin] Curtis Bishop. James was deputy govenor of Connecticut. She was christened there on 22 January 1659. She was first married in 1686 to John Talmage & second or possibly first to Moses Mansfield. Abigail married 3rd William Maltby, son of John Maltby and Mary Williamson, before 7 August 1693 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. Abigail's husband, William, died on 1 September 1710 in Branford leaving her a widow. Abigail departed this life on Friday, 24 October 1710 in Branford at age 51 years, 11 months and 24 days.
