Mary Betts

F, b. 10 September 1693, d. 31 January 1786
     Mary was born on Thursday, 10 September 1693. She was the daughter of Samuel & Judith [Reynolds] Betts.1 Mary married Richard Olmsted, son of Lieut. John Olmsted and Mary Benedict, on 22 April 1714 in Connecticut. Richard & Mary had children: John [2/25/1715][m. Phebe & 2nd Joanna], Richard [9/15/1717-before 9/18/1752][m. 1/13/1740 Abigail Hoyt & 2nd 6/01/1748 Mary Keeler], Stephen[3/29/1720-1814][m. 8/23/1747 Hannah Northrup & 2nd Abigail Srague], Thomas [10/24/1722-ca. 1757], Hepzibah [6/20/1726][m. 6/15/1746 John Whitney], Justus [1/21/1729-1782], Daniel [9/22/1731-2/07/1806][m. 1753 Elizabeth Northrup], Samuel [6/01/1734-11/23/1820][m. 2/15/1769 Martha Wilson], Mary [2/26/1738-8/03/1746] & Jesse.2 Mary's husband, Richard, died on 16 October 1776 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow. Mary departed this life on Tuesday, 31 January 1786 in Ridgefield at age 92 years, 4 months and 21 days.
