Walter Woodal

The building of the church was begun in 1309, the tower was begun in 1450 and completed at 232 feet between 1510 and 1520.
     Walter was born in Mavis Enderby, Lincolnshire, England. He was christened there on 2 March 1689 in St. Michael Church.1 He was the son of Theodore Woodal and Elizabeth (?) Ann married Walter Woodal at Lincolnshire, England. Walter's wife, Ann, died circa 20 April 1729 in Mavis Enderby, Lincolnshire, England, leaving him a widower. Walter married Mary Gladwin, daughter of James Gladwin and Bridgett Ulliot, on 1 May 1730 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England.2 Walter departed this life circa 18 January 1753 in Mavis Enderby. He was buried there in St. Michael Church on Thursday, 18 January 1753.
