     Micajah was born in 1699 in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of "Mill" John Townsend and Ester Smith. Micajah married Elizabeth Platt on 23 April 1732 in Queens County, Long Island, New York. Micajah & Elizabeth had children: Platt, Epenetus, Jotham & Micajah. Micajah's wife, Elizabeth, died on 16 May 1759 in Cedar Swamp in the Town of Oyster Bay leaving him a widower. Micajah married 2nd Meribah (?) in December 1760 in Queens County, Long Island, New York. Micajah's wife, Meribah, died before December 1763 in Cedar Swamp in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York, leaving him a widower. Micajah married 3rd Anne (?) in December 1763 in Queens County, Long Island, New York. Micajah departed this life on Friday, 9 November 1781 in Cedar Swamp in the Town of Oyster Bay at age 82 years.
