Jacob Seaman

     Jacob was born the 10th day of the 6th month 1703 at Westbury, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of Nathaniel Seaman and Rachael Willis. Jacob married Mercy Powell, daughter of Thomas Powell and Elizabeth Townsend Phillips, in 1726 in Westbury, Hempstead Town. Jacob and Mercy had children: Jacob, twin of Jemima [2/20/1732][m.1752 Ann Kirk], Jemima twin of Jacob2/20/1732-died young], Amy [-6/16/1759] [m.1/31/1759 Jacob Kirby], Gilbert [m. 6/20/1762 Mary Post]. Jacob's wife, Mercy, died on 13 March 1759 in New York, leaving him a widower. Jacob departed this life on Sunday, 29 April 1759 in Queens County, Long Island, New York, at age 55 years, 8 months and 19 days.
